Biography
biography Bárbara Tinoco, Portuguese singer and songwriter, was born in Lisbon on November 16, 1998. From a young age, she had a strong passion for music and began singing. He learned guitar at home with his father and, despite not being a professional musician, he inherited the family business of a musical instrument store. His first instrument was a ukulele given to him by his grandfather. Bárbara took her degree in Musical Sciences at NOVA FCSH, but it was in a masterclass by João Gil for Antena 1 that she began to seriously consider a career in music. In 2018, he participated in the talent competition The Voice Portugal, where he sang a version of “Jolene” by Dolly Parton and also performed one of his original songs, “Antes Dela Dizer Que Sim”. This single went viral and marked his professional beginning. In 2020, he participated in the RTP da Canção Festival with the theme “Passe-Partout”. In the same year, she was considered New Artist at the Play - Portuguese Music Awards. In 2021, he released the EP “Desalinhados” and his debut album, “Bárbara”. His musical references include Miguel Araújo, Suzanne Vega and Julia Michaels.
