biography C4 Pedro, whose real name is Pedro Henriques Lisboa Santos, is an Angolan singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and businessman. Born in Luanda, Angola, on July 7, 1983, son of singer Lisboa Santos. He began his musical career at a young age, participating in several music competitions at school and on TV shows. At the age of 18, C4 Pedro moved to Belgium, where he lived for ten years and graduated in Graphic Design. It was there that he began his musical project with his brother Lil Saint, under the name Brother Lisboa Santos. In 2009, C4 Pedro returned to Angola and released his first solo album, Lágrimas - Um Só Povo Uma Só Canção, in partnership with Lil Saint. The album was successful and opened doors for the singer in the Angolan and international market. In 2011, he released his second album, Calor e Frio, which featured Sam The Kid, Boss AC and General D. The album included the hits “Dá Só”, “Pokémon e Picachu”, “Casamento” and “Bo Tem Mel”, the latter in a duet with Nelson Freitas. In 2013, C4 Pedro joined rapper Big Nelo to form the duo B4 Los Compadres, which released the album Los Compadres and the DVD Los Compadres: Ao Vivo Lisboa. The duo was successful with the songs “Quem SER (O Verdadeiro Amor)”, “É Melhor Não Duvidar” and “Swaggelelissimo”. In 2015, C4 Pedro released his third solo album, King Ckwa, which was considered the best Angolan album of the year and sold more than 40 thousand copies. The album's singles were “vamos Ficar Por Aqui”, “Estragar” (with Agir), “Tá Pegar Fogo” and “Céu”. In 2016, C4 Pedro was nominated for the MTV Africa Music Awards in the categories of Best Lusophone Artist and Best Male Artist. He has also won several national and international awards, such as the Angola Music Awards, the Moda Luanda Awards and the African Entertainment Awards. In 2017, C4 Pedro released the single “Love Again” in partnership with the Kenyan group Sauti Sol. In 2018, he released the single “Quero Mais Love” with the Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy. In 2019, he released his fourth solo album, The Gentleman IV. C4 Pedro is one of the most popular and respected artists in Angolan and African music. C4 Pedro sings in the genres of R&B, kizomba and house music and has collaborated with several artists such as Titica, Zona 5, NGA, Dj Maphorisa, Mr Eazi, Prodígio, Edmázia Mayembe and Yuri da Cunha. He performed in several countries such as Portugal, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Brazil. He is considered one of the kings of kizomba and one of the ambassadors of Angolan culture in the world.
