biography Diogo Piçarra is a Portuguese pop and pop rock singer, songwriter, musician and producer. His full name is Diogo Miguel Ramires Piçarra and he was born in Faro on October 19, 1990. He began his musical career at the age of 17, when he formed the band Fora da Bóia. He participated in several talent competitions on television, such as Ídolos, Operação Triunfo and Festival da Canção, having won the fifth edition of Ídolos in 2012. His first solo album, Espelho, came out in 2015 and was a sales and critical success, reaching first place in the national top chart and receiving a platinum record. In 2017, he released his second album, do=s, which also reached the top of the charts and was also awarded platinum status. On this album, Diogo Piçarra collaborated with artists such as Valas and April Ivy. In 2019, he released his third album, South Side Boy, which maintained his popularity with the public and the press. Diogo Piçarra is one of the most listened to Portuguese artists on digital platforms, having millions of followers and views on social media. In addition to singing his own songs, Diogo Piçarra also composes for other artists, such as Aurea, Carolina Deslandes, Anavitória and Jão.
