biography Francisco Murta, known by his stage name Murta, Portuguese singer and composer, was born on August 31, 1998 in Figueira da Foz, Portugal. Murta's musical style is a mix of pop, R&B and soul. His songs incorporate engaging melodies, sincere lyrics and a distinctive voice that conveys emotion. Murta manages to connect with the public through his compositions and performances. In 2016, Murta participated in the fourth edition of the program The Voice Portugal, where he stood out as a finalist, where he impressed with his interpretation of “Georgia on My Mind”. However, he came second in the final, losing to Fernando Daniel by public vote. Since then, Murta has continued his musical career and released his debut album entitled “D’Art Vida” on November 15, 2019 via Universal Music Portugal. The album includes the single “Porquê”, which achieved Gold certification and accumulated more than 5 million views. Furthermore, Murta also collaborated with other artists on singles such as “Rosas” (with Domi) and “Não Quebro” (with Estraca). Some of Murta's most popular songs include: “Porquê”: A single released in 2019, with a mix of pop and R&B.
