Kizomba is a musical genre and dance style originating from Angola, kizomba is normally marked by a strong beat in a 4/4 rhythm, given by a low drum like the surdo, accompanied by a melody given by a crash cymbal, in the introduction and during the bridges, the strong beat is often omitted, leaving only the melody given by the crash cymbal and the other drum instruments.
